Yesterday, Tavistock Relationships formally launched their Working Together Divorce & Separation Directory. The directory is all about enabling couples to work together through divorce, and signposting them to organisations who can help them do just that, by providing joint services in the legal, financial, co-parenting and relationship spheres.
We are delighted to be involved, and our co-founder Samantha Woodham spoke at the roundtable event yesterday, alongside His Honour Judge Martin Dancey, Andrew B. of Tavistock Relationships, Alison Porter of Pennywise Consultants and Marcie Shaoul BA, CPCC, PCC of The Co-Parent Way.
As Samantha said in her speech: ‘Lots of issues which arise on divorce are not legal ones. If you channel two people into a two-sided process, it breaks down communication and can build mistrust. Issues which are really about their relationship, or their parenting, or a misunderstanding about their own finances become enmeshed in the litigation… We need to make it easy, accessible, and normal for people to navigate divorce together.’
