What Is A Form E?

The reasonableness of any financial settlement is dependent on the quality of the disclosure which you’ve each given. Because if you don’t know what’s in the pot, how can you divide it fairly?

So it’s crucial that you, the Court and anyone advising you understand what the available financial resources are. Which is where the Form E comes in.

Done properly, it should be the lynchpin document for your disclosure exercise. You have a duty to the Court to provide full and frank disclosure of all your resources, so don’t rush it. Settling early and well starts with good financial disclosure.
